Hot on the heels of releasing their first core range whisky last week Sydney’s Archie Rose have now appointed Nick Baxter as the National Brand Advocacy Manager for the distillery.
An internal appointment for this newly-created role, Baxter has been with the company for just under four years and is currently based in Melbourne as their Victorian, West Australian and Tasmanian representative. He has now been promoted to a national role leading the ambassador team as the distillery enters its next phase with mature whisky in their portfolio. He will relocate to Sydney in January.
UK-born but raised in Australia from his teenage years, Baxter got involved with hospitality during a nine-year stint back in England before returning to Australia where he worked at Perth bars including Lafayette, Dominion League and Long Chim.
Archie Rose released their first official whisky, a limited release Chocolate Rye Malt, in late June before 1 August saw Batch 1 of the core range Rye Malt released via ballot. The latter will be a core range release for the distillery, which will be followed by their still-maturing single malt stocks in the future.
Founded in 2015 by Will Edwards, Archie Rose began full production in early 2015. Launching initially with white spirits including gin, vodka and a white rye, they’ve released numerous white spirit experiments in the past four years. Based in Rosebery, they are currently constructing a second distillery in Botany which will handle the bulk of production once completed.
Archie Rose are distributed nationally via Swift + Moore.
