Americans Dominate Jim Murray’s 2020 Whisky Bible

The 2020 edition of Jim Murray’s headline-generating Whisky Bible has been unveiled and it was once again a big year for American whiskies with two bourbons and a rye taking out the top three positions.

Barton’s 1792 Full Proof has been named Whisky Of The Year, followed by two releases  from the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection series, William Larue Weller and Thomas H Handy. All three are distributed by Southtrade in Australia. Glen Grant retained its hold on the Scotch category with its 18-year-old while Melbourne’s Bakery Hill picked up Southern Hemisphere Whisky Of The Year with their Peated Malt Cask Strength.
