Almost guaranteed to be a unicorn and worldwide auction fodder before it is released, the Yamazaki 18-Year-Old Mizunara Cask 2017 release has just hit Australian bars and retailers.
If you haven’t already been hounding your local indie bottle store, you’re probably a bit too late to put your hat in the ring (retail was around $1,600). Best get your cash ready once they’re cracked at whisky bars around the country (likely $100+ a dram, depending on the bar).
For those of use who are fine to look, rather that touch – or taste, drinks photographer May Lawrence took a few snaps of one of the few bottles to make it to Aus. See her full gallery here.
